Pakistan’s leading mobile operators have increased the prices of several call and data packages, with some hybrid and data bundles becoming up to 33% more expensive over the past year, according to the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA).

The PTA has published the latest pricing details for the top 15 hybrid and data bundles offered by Jazz, Zong, Ufone and Telenor on its official website.

According to the regulator, the updated information shows significant price increases across multiple package categories over the past 12 months.

Monthly hybrid call and data packages have become as much as Rs500 more expensive, while prices of 15-day hybrid bundles have risen by up to Rs300.

Weekly hybrid packages have recorded increases of up to Rs130.

The PTA’s data also shows that prices of three-day bundles have increased by up to Rs21, two-day packages by up to Rs20, and one-day hybrid bundles by up to Rs5.

The authority said it has upgraded the Consumer Awareness section of its website to improve price transparency and help consumers make informed decisions.

According to the PTA, the platform now provides a simple comparison of the top 15 bundles offered by all four mobile operators, allowing users to compare packages based on their budget and usage requirements.

The regulator said the initiative is aimed at helping telecom consumers compare available packages, monitor the latest pricing trends, and choose the most suitable options.

The PTA advised consumers to regularly check its website and the websites of their respective mobile operators for the latest package information.

It added that the initiative forms part of its commitment to protecting consumer interests and promoting transparency in Pakistan’s telecommunications sector.
