Iranian state media reported that two military facilities in southern Iran came under attack on Thursday evening, while US officials denied carrying out any new strikes, adding to uncertainty over the reported explosions.

State-run IRNA, citing Bushehr province’s political and security deputy governor Ehsan Jahanian, said a military facility near the city of Bushehr was hit by what he described as “US-Israeli enemy projectiles.”

The report did not provide details on the extent of the damage or whether there were any casualties. There was also no indication that Iran’s Bushehr nuclear power plant was affected.

Separately, state broadcaster IRIB reported that a naval military zone in Konarak, a strategic port on the Gulf of Oman, was attacked twice by what it described as “enemy fighter jets.”

Konarak county governor Mohammad Younes Haqani said emergency responders and security forces had been deployed to the area.

However, a US official denied that the American military was conducting strikes inside Iran at the time of the reported attacks.

Israeli officials also said they were unaware of any Israeli involvement in the reported incidents.

There was no independent confirmation of the reported strikes, and the circumstances surrounding the incidents remain unclear.
