3 min readA medical report has confirmed sexual assault against one of two foreign women in the alleged Lahore kidnapping case, police said, as all five named suspects were taken into custody.
New developments emerged in the case at Lahore’s Defence C police station, where two foreign nationals had accused five men of kidnapping, gang rape and demanding ransom.
Investigators said a fifth suspect was arrested on Saturday, bringing all named accused into police custody.
Three additional individuals, whose identities have not been disclosed, were also taken into custody during the investigation, police sources said.
According to sources, an initial medical report received by police confirmed sexual assault against one of the foreign women. Three of the four suspects arrested earlier face rape charges in connection with the assault.
The case’s central accused, Raza Dar, is the grandson of Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, police said.
DNA samples from the victims and the accused, along with the suspects’ mobile phones, have been sent for forensic analysis.
Police sources said the next phase of the investigation would proceed based on forensic and DNA findings.
Investigators also said the accused and the victims had a cryptocurrency investment arrangement worth an estimated $400,000 to $500,000.
According to sources, Raza Dar and his associates had been demanding profits from the victims.
The investigation further found that the accused had allegedly transferred approximately $19,000 from the victims’ digital wallets into their own accounts.
Victim’s statement
One of the victims, Astrid Gabriela Robinson, a Venezuelan national, recorded a statement before a magistrate under Section 164 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, confirming all the events described by the second victim, Stephanie Adriana.
According to her statement, on the first night after she arrived in Pakistan, four armed men entered the house where she was staying, tied her up and subjected her to violence. Raza Dar then arrived and began questioning her about her computer and money, she said.
The statement said the accused repeatedly pressed both women for information about their computers, passwords and funds.
She said they were threatened with death and told they would not return alive if the money was not handed over.
In her statement before the magistrate, the victim alleged sexual assault in addition to physical violence.
Case background
The FIR was registered at Lahore’s Defence C police station on July 2, in which the two foreign nationals accused five men of kidnapping, gang rape and demanding ransom.
According to the FIR, complainant Stephanie Adriana, a Dutch national, stated that she had met Raza Dar in Singapore in October 2025, where he invited both women to Pakistan and allegedly arranged their visas.
Investigators said one victim is a Dutch national and the other a Venezuelan.
Both arrived in Pakistan on June 29 and were allegedly kidnapped the same day. Police said the two women were recovered from Lahore’s Defence area after an emergency call was received from Spain from the Dutch victim’s father.
Following registration of the case, police arrested four suspects, who were remanded into police custody for five days by the court. A fifth suspect, identified by police as a security guard, remained at large before Saturday’s arrest.
Separately, reports emerged a day earlier that both foreign women had left Pakistan for their respective countries.
