K-pop group BTS is set to perform at the halftime show of the FIFA World Cup 2026 final on July 19 at the New York–New Jersey Stadium, joining global music stars Shakira and Madonna.

The performance will take place during the World Cup final, with BTS expected to take the stage at halftime. FIFA has promoted the event as part of its wider entertainment programme for the tournament.

The halftime show will be curated by Chris Martin, with special appearances from Sesame Street and The Muppets.

The event will also support the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund, which aims to raise funds for youth education and access to football worldwide.

BTS previously had a connection to the World Cup through Jungkook, who performed the tournament anthem Dreamers during the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

While the group’s setlist has not been announced, fans are eagerly awaiting details about the songs BTS will perform at one of the biggest sporting events in the world.
