Nora Fatehi calls FIFA World Cup anthem a ‘full-circle moment’
1 min readNora Fatehi has described her FIFA World Cup 2026 anthem Siir Siir as one of the most personal projects of her career, saying it reflects the cultures and experiences that have shaped her journey.
The actor and performer collaborated with music producer Sanjoy and French artist Vegedream on the track, which is part of the FIFA World Cup 2026 music project.
“I wanted this song to feel global but still carry every part of who I am,” Fatehi said, adding that she drew inspiration from her Moroccan roots, Canadian upbringing and career in India.
Fatehi, who is set to perform at the FIFA World Cup 2026 opening ceremony in Toronto, said the project was especially meaningful because of the strong Indian representation involved in its production, including the choreographer, dancers and styling team.
She said the collaboration offered an opportunity to showcase Eastern influences on a global stage and called it a “full-circle moment” that brings together different cultures, artists and musical styles through sport and music.
The project features a global lineup of artists, including Alanis Morissette, Alessia Cara, Jessie Reyez, Michael Bublé, Elyanna, Vegedream and Sanjoy.
The FIFA appearance marks another milestone in Fatehi’s association with the football body after her involvement in events linked to the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
