Zardari calls National Assembly and Senate budget sessions for June 5
1 min readPresident Asif Ali Zardari has summoned the budget session of the National Assembly on June 5 at 5pm, according to official sources on Friday.
He has also called a separate session of the Senate on the same day at 6pm, the sources added.
According to details, more than 60 members of parliament have travelled to Saudi Arabia to perform Hajj this year and are expected to return in the first week of June.
Because of their absence, the government was compelled to revise its earlier schedule for convening the budget sessions of both Houses.
Highly reliable sources said the government had initially planned to summon separate sessions of the National Assembly and Senate on June 1, but the dates have now been shifted to June 5.
