Saudi Arabia’s General Authority for the Care of the Two Holy Mosques has completed operational and service preparations at Al Masjid An Nabawi ahead of the Day of Arafah and Eid Al Azha to facilitate worshippers and visitors during the Hajj season.

According to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), the authority intensified cleaning, sterilisation, and sanitisation operations inside the Prophet’s Mosque to ensure a safe and comfortable environment for visitors.

The report said multilingual guidance services have also been strengthened to assist worshippers, while additional arrangements were made to improve crowd movement through mosque entrances and gates during peak hours.

SPA told APP that special attention has been given to elderly worshippers and persons with disabilities through enhanced support and assistance services.

Authorities also intensified fragrance and incense programmes inside the mosque to improve the spiritual atmosphere for worshippers during the sacred days.

The report said more than 25,000 prayer rugs have been prepared across prayer areas inside the Prophet’s Mosque to accommodate the expected increase in worshippers on the Day of Arafah and Eid Al Adha.

Officials added that the preparations are part of broader efforts aimed at helping visitors perform prayers and worship with ease, comfort and peace of mind.
