Nine terrorists killed in Quetta operations, four CTD personnel martyred
1 min readAt least nine terrorists were killed during Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) operations in Quetta’s Panjpai and Nohsar areas, while four CTD personnel embraced martyrdom and six others sustained injuries in intense exchanges of fire, officials said on Saturday.
According to a CTD spokesperson, security forces launched operations on the outskirts of Quetta targeting suspected militant hideouts in Panjpai and Nohsar.
The spokesperson said the militants opened fire during the raids, leading to heavy gun battles between the attackers and CTD teams.
As a result of the operation, nine terrorists were killed, while four CTD personnel were martyred in the line of duty.
Six injured officials were shifted for medical treatment, the spokesperson added.
Authorities have not yet released the identities of the slain militants or martyred personnel. Further investigations and clearance operations in the area were continuing.
