Trump and Netanyahu hold tense call on Iran peace proposal
1 min readUS President Donald Trump and Israeli regime leader Benjamin Netanyahu engaged in a “difficult” phone conversation on renewed diplomatic efforts to reach an agreement with Iran, Axios reported, citing multiple sources.
The call comes as mediation efforts intensify, involving Qatar, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, and Egypt, aimed at bridging differences between Washington and Tehran over Iran’s nuclear programme and broader regional issues.
One source told Axios that Netanyahu was visibly upset after the call, describing his reaction as having his “hair on fire.”
Meanwhile, a revised draft proposal, reportedly crafted with input from regional mediators, is under consideration. The plan seeks to secure clearer commitments from Tehran on its nuclear programme and outlines potential conditions for the release of frozen Iranian assets.
