Iran warns war could ‘spread far beyond region’ if US resumes attacks
1 min readIran’s Revolutionary Guards (IRGC) warned on Wednesday that any renewed attacks by the United States or Israel could trigger a conflict that spreads far beyond the Middle East.
“If the aggression against Iran is repeated, the promised regional war will this time spread far beyond the region, and our devastating blows will crush you,” the Guards said in a statement on their official website, Sepah News.
The warning comes after US President Donald Trump indicated that Washington could strike Iran again if no lasting settlement is reached in the coming days.
In their statement, the IRGC stressed that while the US and Israel have already employed “the full capabilities of the world’s two most expensive armies” against Iran, Tehran has yet to deploy the full power of the Islamic Revolution.
The statement said the IRGC would demonstrate its power on the battlefield rather than through empty statements or virtual pages.
The two sides have been exchanging proposals to end the war that erupted on February 28.
A ceasefire has been in place since April 8, but tensions remain high as both nations escalate their threats.
