Gold prices rise sharply in local and international markets

Gold prices in Pakistan increased on Tuesday in line with their loss in the international market. In the local market, the gold price per tola reached Rs492,462 after a gain of Rs4,100 during the day.

Similarly, 10-gram gold was sold at Rs422,206 after it accumulated Rs3,515, according to rates shared by the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).

On Monday gold price per tola reached Rs488,362 after a decrease of Rs5,300 during the day.

The international rate of gold jumped by $41 to reach $4,701 per ounce (with a premium of $20).

Meanwhile, the price of silver also increased by Rs395 to reach Rs8,908 per tola.
