Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir will attend a special ceremony at the General Headquarters (GHQ) in Rawalpindi on Sunday to mark the first anniversary of Pakistan’s “Marka-e-Haq” operation launched in response to India’s “Operation Sindoor.”

The ceremony will begin at 8:40 a.m. at GHQ, where preparations have been completed, according to official details.

Field Marshal Munir will be accompanied by Chief of Air Staff Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu and Chief of Naval Staff Naveed Ashraf.

The chiefs of the three armed forces will visit the martyrs’ memorial and lay floral wreaths to pay tribute to fallen soldiers.

Smartly turned-out contingents of the armed forces will present a guard of honour to the chief guest during the ceremony.

Field Marshal Munir is also expected to address participants and highlight the significance of “Marka-e-Haq” as well as the professional capabilities of Pakistan’s armed forces.

Officials said the observance of “Youm-e-Marka-e-Haq” reflects the nation’s resolve to defend the country’s territorial integrity and respond firmly to any aggression against Pakistan.
