Gold prices drop sharply in Pakistan
1 min readGold prices in Pakistan saw a significant decline on Thursday, following a drop in the international market and fluctuations in the dollar rate.
According to the All Pakistan Sarafa Association, the price of gold per tola decreased by Rs2,900, bringing it down to Rs490,862 in the local market.
The price of 10 grams of gold also dropped by Rs4,715, settling at Rs411,147.
Experts said the decline is linked to falling global gold prices and changes in the value of the dollar, which directly impact local rates.
Silver prices also recorded a decrease, with per tola silver dropping by Rs45 to Rs7,766, while 10 grams fell by Rs38 to Rs6,658.
In the international market, gold prices declined by $55 to $4,572 per ounce, while silver fell by $0.45 to $72.82 per ounce.
Market analysts said ongoing fluctuations in global prices and the interbank exchange rate continue to influence gold and silver prices in Pakistan.
