Judicial Commission approves transfer of three IHC judges
1 min readJudicial Commission of Pakistan (JCP) on Tuesday approved the transfer of three judges from the Islamabad High Court (IHC) to other high courts, following a majority vote in a key meeting.
The session was chaired by Chief Justice Yahya Afridi at the Supreme Court, where members reviewed proposals related to judicial transfers and cast their votes.
According to an official handout, the commission endorsed the transfer of Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani to the Lahore High Court, Justice Saman Rafat Imtiaz to the Sindh High Court, and Justice Babar Sattar to the Peshawar High Court.
Sources earlier indicated that the decision to transfer Justice Kayani to the LHC was backed by nine members, with all three moves approved through majority consensus.
Sources said recommendations for the transfer of Justice Arbab Muhammad Tahir and Justice Khadim Hussain Soomro were withdrawn by the relevant authorities.
