Monkeypox cases rise to 33 after new infection confirmed in Lahore
1 min readMonkeypox cases are on the rise in Lahore, where another patient was confirmed on Wednesday, taking the total number of confirmed cases in the city to 33, the health department said.
An 18-year-old citizen was confirmed to have monkeypox, officials said.
According to the health department, seven patients are currently undergoing treatment at Mayo Hospital, of whom four have been confirmed to have monkeypox, while three suspected patients are also under observation.
Health officials said the situation is being closely monitored and citizens have been instructed to take precautionary measures.
