Iran’s Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf is set to lead Tehran’s delegation in talks scheduled for Friday in Pakistan’s capital, Islamabad, according to the Iranian news agency ISNA.

The United States is expected to be represented by Vice President JD Vance, the report said.

Iran’s discussions will be based on its 10-point proposal, which covers not only the country’s nuclear programme and regional security but also primary and secondary sanctions imposed over the past 45 years.

The Islamabad talks follow a Pakistan-brokered two-week ceasefire between the US and Iran, aimed at easing tensions in the region and setting the stage for a longer-term diplomatic settlement.
