The Met Office has issued a flash flood alert in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, warning that the rain spell is likely to continue until April 5.

Strong westerly wind systems are causing a flood situation in several districts, including Bannu, Tank, Lakki Marwat, and Dera Ismail Khan.

Other districts, including North and South Waziristan, Kurram, Karak, Orakzai, and Kohat, have also been affected by heavy rain.

The Met Office warned of urban flooding in low-lying areas of Peshawar, Nowshera, Mardan, and Charsadda.

Rivers and canals in Mansehra, Abbottabad, Swat, Dir, and Chitral may also overflow, it stated.

District administrations have been alerted, and citizens are instructed to take precautionary measures to ensure safety.
