Karachi industrialists back smart lockdown to conserve energy
1 min readKarachi industrialists have voiced support for a smart lockdown in Pakistan to conserve energy amid disruptions caused by the Iran-Israel conflict.
Industrialist Junaid Naqi said energy supply has been affected globally due to the war, warning that industrial processes could slow down and the world may move toward deindustrialisation.
Naqi emphasised that workplaces where work-from-home is possible should adopt it immediately, and educational institutions should switch to online classes.
He also called for raising public awareness about the benefits of a smart lockdown and urged its immediate implementation across Pakistan.
