According to sources, the Finance Minister briefed the Prime Minister during the meeting on the current fuel situation and related planning.
The session is considering measures to ensure the effective use of existing petroleum stocks and manage demand.
Among the proposals we’re reviewing are reducing working days for government offices and educational institutions, introducing a work-from-home arrangement for offices, and shifting to a virtual education system where needed.
Sources said the committee is also examining a plan to adjust petroleum product prices every week.
In addition, a decision is being considered to launch a strict crackdown against hoarding and smuggling.
Officials said important decisions are expected to be announced following the meeting.
