Pakistan destroys Taliban brigade HQ in Kandahar air strike
1 min readThe Pakistan military successfully destroyed the 205 Corps Brigade Headquarters of the Afghan Taliban in an air strike in Kandahar, sources said on Thursday.
The strike, part of the ongoing Operation Ghazab‑lil‑Haq, also targeted several ammunition depots.
The action came as Pakistan’s armed forces intensified operations against the Afghan Taliban and Fitna Al Khawarij under Operation Ghazab-lil-Haq, targeting key Taliban positions and infrastructure, according to security sources.
Officials said the operation inflicted heavy military losses on Taliban forces in the region.
Earlier, Information and Broadcasting Minister Attaullah Tarar stated that Pakistan’s forces had killed 481 Taliban fighters, destroyed 226 checkposts, and seized 35 strategic positions as part of the ongoing campaign.
Security sources emphasised that the operation combines both ground and aerial assaults, with Pakistani forces continuing to carry out decisive strikes against the militants.
Earlier, Pakistan successfully struck Afghanistan’s strategically important Bagram Air Base.
The military campaign is described as a firm response to unprovoked Taliban aggression and is aimed at eliminating the threat posed by militants.
