US urges Americans to leave Middle East immediately

The US State Department has urged Americans to leave more than a dozen Middle Eastern countries, including Saudi Arabia and the UAE, citing serious safety risks.

The department’s Assistant Secretary for Consular Affairs, Mora Namdar, said US citizens should “DEPART NOW” from more than a dozen Middle Eastern countries.**

The official urged US citizens to contact the department if they need State Department assistance arranging their departure.
