Security sources said on Friday that the Pakistan Army acted on the border with Afghanistan, claiming that several posts held by the Afghan Taliban were captured during clashes.

According to the sources, Pakistani forces were responding to what they described as unprovoked aggression.

They said the national flag was hoisted on the captured posts.

Officials added that security forces were continuing their response along the border.
