Z2C on Wednesday distanced itself from an employee facing investigation by the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), saying the individual acted in a purely personal capacity and without any link to the company.

In a statement, Z2C said the employee involved in the FIA inquiry had taken actions independently and that the company had no involvement in the matter.

The company clarified that none of its systems, accounts or funds were used, and stressed that the investigation and related action were not directed against Z2C.

According to the statement, the employee has been suspended from all responsibilities in line with company policy, pending the outcome of legal proceedings and an internal review.

Z2C also said that all of its financial transactions are carried out through proper banking channels in accordance with applicable regulatory requirements.
