Ishaq Dar, Indonesian minister discuss Palestine, bilateral ties
1 min readDeputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar has met Indonesian Foreign Minister Sugiono on the sidelines of the high-level United Nations Security Council (UNSC) briefing on Palestine in New York.
During the meeting, they reviewed bilateral ties and expressed satisfaction at the depth and strength of the longstanding brotherly relations between the two countries, a press release issued by the Foreign Office said on Thursday.
The two leaders also exchanged views on regional and international developments, particularly the situation in Gaza and the West Bank, and agreed to work closely for a just, lasting and comprehensive peace in Palestine, in line with international law and relevant UN resolutions.
Recalling the successful visit of President Prabowo Subianto to Pakistan in December 2025, the deputy prime minister underscored its special significance, noting that it provided fresh impetus to bilateral cooperation and reflected the steady progress achieved over the decades.
