A visually impaired man was found dead from a gunshot wound inside his home in Orangi Town, police said on Friday.

The incident occurred in Sector 13-E, where the victim, identified as Danish, was discovered lying in a pool of blood. He was the eldest of four brothers, all of whom are visually impaired and employed in government service, according to family members.

Relatives said Danish’s marriage had been scheduled after Eid. They added that no gunshot sound was heard during the night.

According to the family, one of the brothers noticed blood on the floor after waking up for prayers and informed their mother. She later found Danish’s body in the room.

Police officials in Karachi said no valuables were missing from the house, ruling out robbery as a motive.

Preliminary assessments suggest the killing may be linked to personal enmity.
