Balochistan faces severe cold as northern districts brace for snowfall
Most districts of Balochistan will remain cold and dry, with northern districts experiencing severe cold and partly cloudy skies, according to the Meteorological Department.
The department reported that on Monday, minimum temperatures were recorded at -2°C in Quetta, -4°C in Kalat, -7°C in Ziarat, 1°C in Zhob, 8°C in Sibi, 13°C in Turbat, 9°C in Nokkundi, 0°C in Chaman, 11°C in Gwadar, and 13°C in Jiwani.
Over the next 48 to 72 hours, rainfall is expected in various parts of the province, with snowfall possible in northern areas.
Temperatures falling below freezing are likely to increase the severity of cold conditions.
In Quetta and surrounding districts, the extreme cold has already led to reduced gas pressure or complete shortages in some areas, causing severe difficulties for residents.
