Three wanted terrorists killed in Dera Ismail Khan operation
Three terrorists were killed in an intelligence-based operation conducted by the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) in Dera Ismail Khan, sources said on Wednesday.
The slain terrorists were wanted in many cases and were involved in attacks on police and security forces, the sources added.
The slain terrorists have been identified as Naimatullah, Abdul Rauf Afghani, and Mustafa.
During the operation, authorities recovered three Kalashnikov rifles, nine magazines, two hand grenades, and numerous cartridges from the suspects.
Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi praised the CTD for the successful operation, saying, “the nation stands shoulder to shoulder with our brave forces in eliminating the scourge of Fitna Al Hindustan.”
Inspector General of Police (IGP) Zulfiqar Hameed and the Additional IG CTD also commended the teams for their effective action.
The IGP stressed that all attacks on police and security personnel will be answered by eliminating the remaining terrorists.
“We will intensify intelligence-based operations to ensure the complete eradication of these extremists,” he said.
