Ayush Mhatre palyed a significant knock of 38. However, no other Indian batter could make significant contributions.

For Pakistan, Mohammad Siyam and Abdul Subhan were pick of the bowlers, claiming three wickets each, while Naqab Shafiq picked up two.

Speaking after the toss, Pakistan captain Farhan Yousuf said there was no pressure playing against India and described the match as a normal game for his side.

He said the players were confident and confirmed one change to the team, with Mohammad Subhan replacing Daniyal.

Farhan added that Pakistan had also faced India in the previous Asia Cup and expressed full confidence in his bowling unit, saying the team aimed to restrict India to the lowest possible total.

Earlier in the tournament, Pakistan defeated Malaysia in their opening match, while India secured a win against the United Arab Emirates.
