The Pakistan Army and China’s People’s Liberation Army (PLA) are conducting a joint counterterrorism exercise Warrior-IX from 28 November to 14 December 2025, aimed at enhancing interoperability and strengthening military cooperation between the two countries, said Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR).

The ISPR said the Distinguished Visitors Day ceremony was held on 11 December 2025 at the National Counter Terrorism Centre (NCTC) in Pabbi, where China’s Ambassador to Pakistan, Jiang Zaidong, attended as the Chief Guest along with senior dignitaries from China. The Chief of General Staff of the Pakistan Army was present as the Guest of Honour.

During the visit, the officials were briefed on the scope, objectives, and conduct of the exercise. They observed counterterrorism drills and commended the professionalism, operational competence, and morale of the participating troops.

The ISPR added that the exercise reflects ongoing defence collaboration between Pakistan and China and reaffirms the commitment of both armed forces to working together for peace and stability.
