ECP sets February 15 for local govt polls in Islamabad
The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Tuesday issued the schedule for local government elections in Islamabad, announcing that polling will take place on February 15.
According to an ECP spokesperson, returning officers will display public notices for the submission of nomination papers on December 19.
The commission said nomination papers may be submitted until December 27, while scrutiny of the papers will be completed by January 3.
Polling will be held from 8am to 4pm on election day.
The ECP confirmed that all arrangements for conducting the local government elections in the federal capital have begun.
