Karachi records over 60,700 crimes in 11 months, says CPLC
CPLC has released crime statistics for the first 11 months of the year, reporting more than 60,700 incidents across Karachi.
According to the data, 35,749 motorcycles were stolen, while 6,078 were snatched at gunpoint. Citizens were deprived of 16,278 mobile phones in various incidents.
The report states that 1,728 cars were stolen from parking areas and outside homes, while 284 cars were snatched at gunpoint.
CPLC confirmed 89 extortion cases so far this year, and 13 cases of kidnapping for ransom were reported in 2025.
A total of 528 people were killed in different incidents, while more than 80 were shot dead during resistance.
