President Asif Ali Zardari has summoned a joint session of parliament under Article 54(1) for Tuesday at 11am, the National Assembly Secretariat said in an official notification.

The session, to be presided over by National Assembly Speaker Ayaz Sadiq, will focus on approving important legislation, including bills that were previously passed by either house and those whose tenure has expired.

According to parliamentary sources, the joint session will deliberate on key laws to ensure their formal approval, maintaining legislative continuity.
