Karachi driver held for seeking Rs8m extortion from employer
Malir Cantt police say the personal driver issued death threats
Malir Cantt police have arrested a man accused of demanding extortion from his employer through a phone call and a handwritten slip, officials said on Wednesday.
According to police, the suspect demanded Rs8 million and threatened to kill the complainant if the payment was not made.
The arrested man was identified as Dawood Khan, who worked as the complainant’s personal driver.
Police said the suspect confessed to the crime during interrogation. Further investigation is under way.
