Gold prices rise again in Pakistan as global rates climb
Gold prices in Pakistan rose on Wednesday, tracking an uptick in the international market.
According to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), the price of gold increased by Rs2,300 per tola to reach Rs438,862.
The rate for 10 grams rose by Rs1,972 to Rs376,253.
The local market followed Tuesday’s sharp jump, when gold gained Rs7,700 per tola to hit Rs436,562.
Globally, gold advanced by $23 to reach $4,165 per ounce, including a $20 premium.
Silver prices also strengthened, with the per-tola rate increasing by Rs60 to Rs5,482.
