Dengue outbreak continues in KP; 8 new cases in 24 hours
Peshawar and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa continue to see new dengue cases, with eight confirmed infections reported in the past 24 hours.
One patient is admitted to the hospital during this period.
According to the Health Department, the number of active dengue cases in the province stands at 206.
In this year, 6,110 dengue cases have been reported so far, with 2,086 patients hospitalised.
The department said that 5,900 patients have recovered, while dengue has claimed the lives of four individuals in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa this year.
Hospitals across the province are currently treating eight patients for dengue-related illness.
Authorities continue to urge residents to take preventive measures against mosquito breeding to curb the outbreak.
