Security authorities on Friday arrested a key facilitator in the Islamabad Judicial Complex suicide bombing case, marking a significant development in the ongoing investigation, officials said.

Sources confirmed that the arrested individual, identified as Jamshed, is linked to the terrorist group Fitna al-Khawarij. He reportedly coordinated the transport of the bomber’s suicide jacket from Peshawar to Islamabad.

The facilitator allegedly used a loader rickshaw to move the explosive-laden jacket to the capital, enabling the attack on November 12 in which the bomber detonated himself outside the Judicial Complex. The blast killed 12 people and injured 36 others.

Officials said Jamshed’s arrest is expected to provide crucial leads in uncovering the network behind the attack and prevent future incidents.

The investigation is ongoing, with authorities continuing to track other potential accomplices linked to the militant cell.
