Lahore court sends NCCIA officer to jail on judicial remand in bribery, abuse of power case
A local court in Lahore on Saturday sent Assistant Director of the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA), Shoaib Riaz, to jail on judicial remand in a case involving allegations of bribery and misuse of authority.
Judicial Magistrate Naeem Watto heard the case at the district courts. The FIA produced Riaz before the court after the completion of his two-day physical remand.
According to case details, Riaz is accused of taking bribes and abusing his official powers.
The court had earlier sent other accused, including Chaudhry Sarfraz, on judicial remand.
The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has already registered a case against all the accused in connection with the charges.
