A senior police officer was killed after unidentified armed men attacked a police station in the Bhag Nari area of Kachhi district, Balochistan, on Monday night.

According to initial reports, the assailants stormed the station after sunset, opened indiscriminate fire, and later set the building on fire.

During the exchange of fire, Police Inspector Lutf Ali Khosa was killed on the spot.

Later, the police and security forces reached the spot and cordoned off the area and launched a search operation.

Authorities have begun investigating the extent of the damage to the police station and ascertaining the motive behind the attack.
