A high-level four-nation meeting on Afghanistan is set to take place in Moscow on Monday, bringing together senior representatives from Pakistan, China, Russia, and Iran to discuss the evolving situation in the war-torn country.

Diplomatic sources said Pakistan will be represented by Muhammad Sadiq Khan, Pakistan’s Special Representative on Afghanistan and also Special Assistant to the Prime Minister (SAPM) and State Minister.

The agenda includes in-depth discussions on regional security and counterterrorism, with a particular focus on preventing militant threats from spilling across borders.

According to sources, Pakistan plans to raise the issue of terrorist safe havens inside Afghanistan and emphasise the need to curb recruitment and financing networks of militant groups operating in the region.
