New oil and gas reserves discovered in Attock district
Pakistan Petroleum Limited (PPL) on Thursday announced the discovery of new oil and gas reserves in Punjab’s Attock district, providing a significant boost to the country’s energy sector.
According to an official statement, the discovery was made at the Dhok Sultan-3 well.
Initial estimates suggest that the site can produce approximately 1,469 barrels of crude oil per day, along with 2.56 million standard cubic feet of gas (MMSCFD).
The development is being hailed as a positive sign for strengthening domestic energy resources, potentially reducing dependence on costly imports and enhancing national energy security.
