All educational institutions in Murree will remain closed for the next two days amid the fears of heavy rains, cloudbursts, and possible landslides in the hill station.

According to the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA), Murree has received around 74 millimetres of rain since morning.

Officials have warned that further downpours may increase the risk of landslides and flooding in the region.

The PDMA further said that, under the directives of the chief minister, precautionary measures are being taken to ensure the safety of citizens. Weather forecasts also predict more rain over the next two days in Rawalpindi, Murree, Jhelum, Chakwal, and Attock districts.
