Russian President Vladimir Putin has expressed sorrow over the loss of lives caused by heavy rains and flooding in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), sending a condolence letter to President Asif Ali Zardari.

According to a statement issued on Saturday by the Presidency, President Putin conveyed Russia’s deep grief over the human losses in the disaster-hit areas of Pakistan.

In his letter, Putin extended heartfelt condolences to the families of those who perished in the floods and offered words of sympathy and support.

The Russian leader also wished a swift recovery for the injured and expressed solidarity with the affected families.
