SBP issues Rs75 commemorative coin marking ‘Marka-e-Haq’ victory over India

Coin honours Pakistan Armed Forces’ courage and sacrifices in historic battle

The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has issued a Rs75 commemorative coin to mark the celebration of Marka-e-Haq — Pakistan’s historic victory against India — and Independence Day, paying tribute to the bravery and sacrifices of the country’s Armed Forces.

According to the SBP, the coin was issued on the directive of the Government of Pakistan and will be available from August 15, 2025, at the exchange counters of the Bank’s Banking Services Corporation field offices.

The metallic composition of the coin comprises 79% copper, 20% zinc, and 1% nickel. It weighs 13.5 grams and has a diameter of 30 millimetres.

The obverse side of the coin features a rising crescent and a five-pointed star oriented northwest, with the words “Islamic Republic of Pakistan” inscribed above.

Below the crescent, two curved wheat sprigs frame the year “2025.” The numeral “75” appears to the left of the crescent and the word “Rupees” to the right.

The reverse side bears the inscription “Marka-e-Haq” in the centre. Below it are embossed images of two fighter jets, a naval ship, and a multiple rocket launcher system — symbols of the Armed Forces’ capability and sacrifice.

Along the upper edge, the words “Pakistan Hamesha Zindabad” are engraved.
