The Sindh government has officially issued a notification announcing a salary increase for provincial government employees, effective from July 1, 2025, under the fiscal year 2025–26 budget.

According to the notification, employees from Grades 1 to 16 will receive a 12% increase in their basic salaries, while officers from Grades 17 to 22 will get a 10% raise.

In addition to salary increases, the pensions of retired employees have been raised by 8%, providing much-needed relief to pensioners amid rising inflation.

This increment aligns with the Rs3,451 billion provincial budget presented by Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah on June 13 in the Sindh Assembly. The decision was also approved earlier in the provincial cabinet meeting held prior to the budget session.

The move has been welcomed by government employees, who expressed hope that the salary adjustment would help cushion the impact of the ongoing cost-of-living crisis.
