Pakistan wins seven medals at Asian Junior Squash Championships 2025

Pakistan earned a total of seven medals at the 32nd Asian Junior Individual Squash Championships 2025 held in South Korea, showcasing a strong performance by the country’s young squash talent.

According to a press release, Pakistan secured two gold, two silver, and one bronze medal in the main championship, along with two additional gold medals in the plate events.

In the main event, Muhammad Sohail Adnan claimed gold in the Boys U-13 category, while Nauman Khan won gold in Boys U-15. Ahmed Rayyan Khalil (Boys U-15) and Mahnoor Ali (Girls U-13) took silver medals, while Abdullah Nawaz (Boys U-19) earned a bronze.

In the plate events, Yahya Khan won gold in Boys U-17 after defeating Korea’s Chanyoung K, and Muhammad Mustafa clinched gold in Boys U-13 by beating Tse K C of Hong Kong.

In notable match results:

  • Boys U-15 Final: Nauman Khan (PAK) defeated Ahmad Rayyan Khalil (PAK) 12-10, 11-6, 11-2 (3-0).

  • Boys U-13 Final: Muhammad Sohail Adnan (PAK) beat India’s Ayaan Dhanuka 11-5, 11-2, 11-13, 11-6 (3-1).

  • Girls U-13 Final: Yin Z (CHN) narrowly defeated Mahnoor Ali (PAK) in a tight five-game match: 9-11, 11-6, 11-9, 9-11, 12-10 (3-2).

The Pakistan Squash Federation congratulated the young athletes, stating that the results reflect a positive resurgence in Pakistan squash. “Winning gold at such prestigious events is a proud moment. Our junior players have shown that Pakistan squash is back on track,” the federation said.
