Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police have achieved a significant success in their counterterrorism efforts, arresting two most-wanted militants in a late-night operation carried out in Lakki Marwat.

The suspects, identified as Bilal from Nawar Khel and Asif Nawaz from Kathere Khel, were apprehended in a targeted raid.

According to the Capital Police Officer (CPO), both men were involved in numerous serious crimes, including acts of terrorism, murder, and attacks on law enforcement personnel.

Inspector General of KP Police commended the team behind the successful action and instructed officials to maintain the momentum with indiscriminate operations against all terrorist elements.

He reaffirmed that the police force’s struggle would persist until the complete elimination of the Khawarij threat.

Police sources said the suspects are being interrogated, and further arrests are likely in the coming days.

Authorities have also appealed to the public to promptly report any suspicious activity to help preserve peace and stability in the province.
