As part of security measures during Ashura, the Sindh government has requested the suspension of mobile phone services on the 9th and 10th of Muharram.

According to official sources, the Sindh Home Department has sent a letter to the Ministry of Interior, recommending a temporary shutdown of mobile internet services along the routes of Muharram processions.

The request covers multiple districts across the province, where large gatherings and processions are expected during the religious observance.

The proposed suspension aims to prevent any potential misuse of communication channels that could compromise public safety.

The Ministry of Interior has been asked to review the request and make a decision in accordance with standard protocols.
