Deputy Commissioner Shahid Mahmood inaugurated the “Clinic on Wheels” program on Monday at the Tehsil Headquarter Hospital (THQ), a key initiative under the Chief Minister Punjab’s healthcare reforms aimed at delivering medical services to residents at their doorsteps in Chichawatni.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by Assistant Commissioner Nargis Khatoon Jaffary, former MNA Chudhary Tufail, Chief Executive Officer (Health) Dr. Abdul Majeed Niazi, and other senior officials.

As part of the launch, the Deputy Commissioner formally handed over six ambulances allocated for the program to the Health Department.

Each mobile clinic will be equipped with essential healthcare services, including pregnancy tests, and staffed by a doctor, dispenser, and vaccinator to ensure primary care reaches remote and underserved areas.

Officials emphasized that the initiative will strengthen rural healthcare access and support preventive care as part of the broader public health mission of the Punjab government.
