Ishaq Dar, Field Marshal Asim Munir meet Erdogan in Istanbul
Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, along with Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, held a high-level meeting with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan in Istanbul.
The meeting took place on the sidelines of the OIC Foreign Ministers’ Conference, according to the Turkish Presidential Office.
The discussions focused on the prevailing situation in the region, with particular emphasis on the ongoing Iran-Israel conflict and its broader implications.
All three leaders exchanged views on global tensions and their potential impact on the region, underscoring the importance of coordinated diplomatic efforts.
Field Marshal Asim Munir arrived in Türkiye following his official visit to the United States and joined the deputy prime minister for this strategic engagement in Istanbul.
The meeting also reaffirmed the commitment to strengthening Pakistan-Türkiye bilateral ties, with both sides expressing a shared resolve to deepen cooperation in various fields.
Deputy PM Ishaq Dar conveyed the greetings and best wishes of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to President Erdogan, reiterating that Pakistan places great importance on its relationship with Türkiye and values Ankara’s leadership role in regional and Islamic affairs.
