Two-day meeting of Islamic foreign ministers kicks off in Istanbul
A two-day meeting of foreign ministers from Islamic countries, organized by the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, has commenced today in Istanbul.
This gathering is seen as a crucial platform to address peace, stability, and the challenges faced by the Muslim world.
The meeting is set to begin at 1pm Pakistani time, following a traditional group photo session for participants.
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan will open the session with a speech, while Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan will deliver a keynote address.
Sources indicate that a special session focusing on Israeli aggression against Iran will take place today, with the aim of formulating a united response to the current situation.
Pakistan is represented by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Ishaq Dar, who will articulate the country’s stance on various issues affecting the Muslim Ummah, including the situations in Palestine and Kashmir, Islamophobia, and regional tensions.
Additionally, significant bilateral meetings are anticipated on the sidelines of the conference, with scheduled discussions between Ishaq Dar and Saudi Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, and Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan.
